Arya Sasol Complex
Arya Sasol Polymer Company is located in Pars Special Economic & Energy Zone (PSEEZ) in (ASSALOUYEH) Bushehr province. The plant is constructed on 72 hectares of land on the Persian Gulf 270 km. southeast of Bushehr and 270km west of Bandar Abbas in the western corner of Petrochemical Phase 1 zone next to export facilities of PSEEZ. Arya Sasol shareholders are currently Pars Petrochemical company with 50% of share and Pars Taamin Majd (PTM) with 50% of share and Annual Turn-over of company was about 1 Billion USD in year 2015.
Pars Special Economic Energy Zone
In 1998, Pars Special Economic Energy Zone was established under authorization of the Cabinet, to utilize gas from the South Pars Field in a bid to develop oil, gas, petrochemical and thier related downstream industries. Covering an area of 30,000 hectares, the zone lies east of Bushehr province, and 105 km away from the maritime South Pars gas Field. South Pars area has one of the world's largest independent gas fields. it is located on the Iran-Qatar joint maritime in the Persian Gulf. the field has an area of 9,700 square km. Holding more than 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of condensates, the field contains 8% of the world’s gas and over 48% of Iran's total known gas reserves.
With 27,653 square kilometers, and with 60 kilometers sea border, the province of Bushehr is located on the south-west of Iran , and on the persian Gulf. Thus this province has remarkable strategic importance for the country and the whole region. The province is consisted of 7 districts which are: Bushehr, Dashti, Daylam, Kangan, Genaveh and Tangistan. The provincial capital and the administrative center of the province is the city of Bushehr.
