Relied on Its Domestic Expertise, ASPC's Realization of Self-sufficiency Roadmap Via Localization of a Significant Equipment
Relying on the expertise of the its internal workforce and knowledge-based companies, Arya Sasol Polymer Company (ASPC) has succeeded in localizing one of the complex parts of the olefin unit called Steam Chamber.
The steam chamber equipment construction project will be built for the first time in Iran with the efforts of ASPC's specialists and the cooperation of knowledge-based companies and will be installed at the production site soon.
ASPC started targeting and defining a road map for self-sufficiency in supplying parts and localizating required parts after imposing sanctions on the industry and preventing high-tech parts manufacturing countries from supplying equipment; Therefore, with the support of the CEO, the localization process including the design and manufacture of the main and sensitive components of many machines and equipments in the self-sufficient and internal manufacturing unit of the innovation center was started.
One of the most important projects is the design and construction of the main steam inlet equipment for the unit 301 olefin turbine called the Steam Chamber; that reverse engineering and obtaining the technical knowledge of manufacturing and quality control have recently been completely done in the self-sufficiency unit and it is currently in the final machining stage.
One of the important points of the implementation of this project is the preparation of the technical map of this project by the specialists of the self-sufficiency unit of ASPC, which was done with the reverse engineering of the foreign products and the prepared map was delivered to the construction company.
After completing reverse engineering and acquiring technical knowledge and preparing documentation, the construction of the equipment was started with a thorough and detailed review of capable companies with work experience in the construction of sensitive machines, and then it was introduced to ASPC.
After almost 7 months, the equipment has reached the full manufacturing stage and the construction of the Steam chamber project will be completed in the next month.
