Winners of the International Sustainability Excellence Award Announced: Arya Sasol, the Only Iranian Company Recognized in Sustainability Management
Arya Sasol Polymer Company has been named the only Iranian company to receive a 5-star rating among top global companies in the International Sustainability Excellence Award.
The fourth edition of the 2025 Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) Excellence Award, held under the supervision of the International Best Practice Competition (IBPC), took place, and Arya Sasol secured a prestigious 5-star rating among leading companies in the field of sustainability.
With the goal of benchmarking its position against globally renowned companies in sustainability management, and with the support of Mohammadreza Heydarzadeh, the company’s CEO, Arya Sasol participated in the award. Based on its implemented strategies and achievements in sustainable development and sustainability reporting, the company earned the 5-star award, recognized as outstanding on an international level. The successful organization of its first Sustainability Management Conference was another key factor in achieving this prestigious international recognition among top-tier companies.

Only one company from the United Arab Emirates achieved the top 6-star rating, while Arya Sasol secured the second-place 5-star ranking. This award holds signifiant importance for Arya Sasol and Iran, as sustainability is a broad and multifaceted concept, particularly for a company in the large-scale petrochemical industry. The event is held annually by the Centre for Organisational Excellence Research (COER), the Best Practice Improvement Resource (BPIR.com), and the Global Benchmarking Network, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Abu Dhabi Global Organisational Excellence Centre, the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, and supporters from around the world. It takes place in New Zealand, with international expert judges and major companies from various parts of the world in attendance. All projects and initiatives receiving ratings above 4 stars are recognized as best practices.
