250 ASPC Employees Donate Blood in Philanthropic Event
On the 15th and 16th of November 2022, about 250 employees of the Arya Sasol Polymer Company (ASPC) participated in the blood donation process in cooperation with the Bushehr Blood Transfusion Organization.
ASPC Executive Manager Mohammad-Reza Heidarzadeh, who participated in the blood donation process, pointed to the continuous participation of the company’s employees in blood donation. “Due to the reduction of the country’s blood bank reserves, the ASPC’s employees will participate in this humanitarian cause when fellow Iranians need help,” he said.
The ASPC manager added: “The employees of our company continuously participate in the blood donation process on a voluntary basis with the aim of creating a culture embracing blood donation and to assist in providing a stable blood supply at regular intervals throughout the year. Blood donation had also taken place in previous years and during the Coronavirus pandemic in the ASPC with the participation of the Bushehr Blood Transfusion Organization”.
Alireza Bastin, General Director of Bushehr Province Blood Transfusion, also stated that the Arya Sasol Polymer Company serves as a laudable model in social participation and blood donation. “The Blood Transfusion Organization aims to provide blood and blood products needed by the province’s health centers and even neighboring provinces by sending mobile blood collection teams to various cities and villages in a bid to seek as much public participation as possible. Arya Sasol has constantly participated in this process as an active model,” he said.
Pointing to the positive turnout of ASPC employees in the blood collection event, Bastin added that the “Bushehr Province is among the top three blood donor provinces in the country with an average 31 donors per thousand individuals, which demonstrates devotion to this virtuous matter and in general social responsibility throughout the province”.
The event took place as ASPC managers and employees alike cooperate with the mobile team of the Bushehr Blood Transfusion Organization in the blood donation process several times a year. The event takes place in adherence to the industry’s social responsibilities, engaging in civic participation to alleviate concerns of hospitalized patients in need of blood transfusion.
