Arya Sasol Polymer Company (ASPC), as the first and the sole company in Iran, has succeeded to receive the “excellent” award and the 9-star silver statue at the national Physical Asset Management Award (PAMAWARD 2017).

The prize was awarded during the third national Physical Asset Management Award (repair and maintenance) which was held concurrent with the 12th International Seminar of Technical, Repair and Maintenance Managers at the international conference hall of the oil industry’s research center in Tehran on November 14, 2017.

James Picknell, the author of “Uptime, Strategies for Excellence in Maintenance Management” and the ex-advisor to IBM, attended the event as the senior supervisor of PAMAWARD in Iran. Ali Zuashkiani, the director of educational programs at Center for Maintenance Optimization and Reliability Engineering (C-MORE) of Toronto University also attended the event as the scientific secretary. Over 60 national and international figures delivered speeches to the ceremony participated by more than one thousand senior Iranian and international managers.

Semnan Gas Company, receiving the 6-star bronze statue, and Tabriz Petrochemical Company, gaining the 5-star certificate, respectively ranked second and third in the event, according to a report released by the Public Relations Department of ASPC.

Nouri Petrochemical Company (in the field of oil, gas, and petrochemical industry) and Mashhad Power Dispatching Company and Iran Water & Power Resources Development Company (IWPCO) Karoun 4 Dam (in the field of energy) were the winners of the last year’s edition of the award.

It should be noted that the national Physical Asset Management Award has been held annually since three years ago with the aim of adopting patterns, identifying the situation of organizations compared to their rivals inside and outside the country, and encouraging and persuading organizations to take into consideration the important aspects of Physical Asset Management.

The Physical Asset Management Award’s assessment is based on the model of Uptime with more than one thousand times of running in leading organizations. It is the most comprehensive model of assessment in the world related to the Physical Asset Management (repair and maintenance). The model has been used in the largest Iranian industries (in the four fields of oil, gas, and petrochemicals; energy; industry; and construction and facilities). Every year, golden, silver, and bronze statues as well as certificates are awarded to top companies in each sector considering results of third party assessments.
